Buster!!

For the last few weeks when I pull into the parking lot and walk by our outdoor dog runs there has been this wonderful face with sweet white hairs, smiling and wagging as I approach.  Buster has captured my heart and I need your help to find him a home. 

Here is the thing, I just don't understand why he is still waiting for a family.  He has been with us for six weeks which is way too long considering our average stay is just days.  And Buster is WONDERFUL.  Okay okay so he is a little older, at 9 he is an old soul.  But if you met him you would see that he still has a lot of living to do, and has the personality and spunk of a much younger dog.  Buster is a perfect combo, as an older dog he is mellow and knows the joy of just laying near your feet, relaxing until the next activity comes along, AND he will jump to action as soon as you grab a leash or a ball ready to play.  Click on the link below and see for yourself, our volunteers have captured a great video of him that tells the story... 

Now you should know that Buster gets a little grumpy with other dogs.  Hey as a 9 year old he has seen a lot of dogs and knows that his preference for companionship is people.  And he LOVES people.  He will suck you in with that waggle and charm and make you think you are the most amazing person he has ever met.  He will politely invite you to play with his ball or he is just content to have you give him a good scrub behind the ears.

Buster is a staff and volunteer favorite and every day he is here our hearts get a little heavier.  We just want him to get that great family he deserves and we want to see him walk out here with a smile on his face just like we know he will bring to the lucky person who takes him home.  Could that be you?  Or someone you know?
